Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to promote the upcoming boxing match.
Former twice unified boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather targeted ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters met for the customary stare-down, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually happening.
