The artist has donated the complete sum of his twenty-five thousand pound honor prize money to the MVT, which works to preserve the Britain's small concert spaces.
The star was awarded the prize on 16 October as his third album the album was declared the outstanding release of the past year.
He has chosen to donate the funds to the trust, in appreciation of the vital role local spots had in his initial steps.
"I personally wouldn't be doing this success if it wasn't for all the shows I did around the region, and beyond, when I was just getting going," said Fender. "These venues are legendary, but they are facing challenges."
Beginning in 2023, at least 150 of these locations have ceased operations – approximately 16 percent of the whole industry in the UK.
Recently, well-known musicians including the band Pulp, the group Coldplay, Katy Perry and Sheeran have all supported the Music Venues Trust in its efforts to keep the scene afloat, by adding a small levy to their ticket prices, which supports independent venues.
Fender also participated, generating over £100k on his recent tour to support numerous small stages across England, Scotland, and Wales.
The donation helped venues that were facing potential shutdown due to challenges stemming from flooding, fire incidents and personal losses, as well as licensing issues, court cases and sound issues.
Additional spaces obtained monetary aid in upgrading infrastructure and sound and lighting systems that directly benefitted artists and concertgoers.
"The concept that revenue from performances in major spaces helps the independent spots, where it kicks off for musicians like me, is just sensible," Fender has stated.
He is among several artists to contribute his Mercury Prize winnings to good deeds.
In the band received the trophy in the year 1996 for their album Different Class, frontman Jarvis Cocker declared that the group would donate their winnings to the organization War Child.

"I also contributed a thousand pounds to the center, to their gymnastics program, because I trained in gymnastics when I was younger and they required new equipment," Ms Dynamite shared with a publication.
In recent years, Ezra Collective contributed their prize money to the youth organization that nurtured their band, as well as other independent music bodies.
And winners that year the group contributed their winnings to a multiple sclerosis charity after a friend was found to have the disease.
"The victory was sufficient," said singer Heather Small. "The prize was the extra but we could do without the cherry, because we had the cake. So our victory touched another person's life."
In the past week, the Music Venues Trust announced it had protected two grassroots venues in south-east England, by transferring them to community ownership.
The Joiners in the city and the second in that location were acquired under the public acquisition scheme, which is funded by Arts Council England and supporters who acquire "ownership units" in the properties.
